Service

GeneGaze is a client-side genomic analysis application that processes raw DNA data files from services such as 23andMe, AncestryDNA, and other direct-to-consumer genetic testing providers.

The app provides educational insights about:

  • 3,500+ clinically significant health markers and genetic variants across 10 constellations
  • Pharmacogenomic medication response profiles for 50+ drugs, mapped to CPIC Level A gene-drug pairs
  • Personalized nutrition and supplement guidance
  • StarMap (Polaris + Big Dipper) with haplogroup and ancestry insights
  • Combined modifier scorecards (methylation, cardiometabolic, caffeine, bone, stress-dopamine, and more)
  • Physical trait predictions (hair, skin, eyes, taste, body composition)
  • Rare disease screening (BRCA, Lynch syndrome, MTHFR, APOE, EDS subtypes, and others)
  • Side-by-side genome comparison (up to 3 files)
  • PDF report export and email sharing for healthcare providers

All data processing occurs entirely on your device. No genetic data is transmitted to any server.

Educational Purpose

GeneGaze is designed for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

5

Raw Data Accuracy

Important: GeneGaze analyzes raw data generated by third-party consumer genotyping services (such as 23andMe and AncestryDNA). Research has demonstrated that consumer genotyping chips may produce false positive results at rates of approximately 40% for certain variant types (Tandy-Connor et al., Genetics in Medicine, 2018). GeneGaze does not perform independent sequencing and cannot verify the accuracy of the raw data you provide.

Any clinically significant findings identified by GeneGaze should be confirmed through clinical-grade genetic testing ordered by a qualified healthcare provider before making any medical decisions.

🔬
6

Analytical Validity

While GeneGaze cross-references 14 validated databases (ClinVar, PharmGKB, GWAS Catalog, OMIM, gnomAD v4, AlphaMissense, CPIC, dbSNP, UniProt, LOVD, MalaCards, Mastermind, SpliceAI, and ICD-10/ICD-11) and follows ACMG/AMP classification standards, the interpretation of genetic variants is an evolving field. Variant classifications may change as new research becomes available. GeneGaze's analysis represents a point-in-time assessment based on current scientific knowledge. Full methodology is at genegaze.com/data-sources.

7

Medications

Medication response predictions are based on known genetic associations and are not comprehensive. Drug response is influenced by multiple factors including genetics, age, weight, liver and kidney function, other medications, and overall health status. Pharmacogenomic algorithms have been most extensively validated in populations of European descent and may have reduced accuracy for other ancestries. Users should never stop, start, or change any medication based on GeneGaze results without consulting their prescriber.
